At your first visit:
Dr. Popham, the Kidney specialist, and her nurses will interview you for your detailed medical history and perform a physical examination. This is the first step in order to discover the nature of your kidney problem. You will also be asked to bring your medication list and all your medications, in their original bottles, to each appointment. Appropriate blood tests and urine samples will be drawn in our office, with results from the tests being returned to our office within one to two weeks. In addition to the Blood tests we will also arrange for a radiological imaging of your kidneys.
Your next Appointment:
is usually scheduled two to three weeks after your initial visit. At this time we discuss your test results with you, combined with your medical history and current physical condition. We will also discuss our diagnosis and treatment recommendations, along with taking the time to thoroughly answers all of your questions.
At each visit:
to Duluth Kidney Services, our kidney team will provide the information you need to effectively mange your health and kidney condition. We are also in communication with your doctor and together will work with you to keep you in the best possible health.
